About This Course

This course will take place at the Beckman Laser Institute and Medical Clinic, located on the campus of UC Irvine in Irvine, California.

This course will focus on facial rejuvenation and will be divided into a two-day curriculum consisting of a surgical day on Saturday, Aug 22, focused on surgical treatment.

The morning sessions will largely focus on information designed for the beginner and intermediate surgeon, reviewing the basic elements of facial rejuvenation surgery. The afternoon will predominantly focus on facelift surgery and related procedures.

The structure of the afternoon will consist of case presentations followed by roundtable discussions among our distinguished faculty. We are fortunate this year to have Jonathan Sykes, Amir Karam, Babak Azizzadeh, James Newman, Corey Maas, and Richard Gangnes, all of whom are highly respected and experienced facelift surgeons. The afternoon program is intended to focus on refinement of technique, management of challenging cases, and advanced surgical decision-making.

This course follows in the tradition of our previous facial plastic surgery educational programs at UC Irvine. Additional faculty may be added as planning progresses.

On the second day, there will be an injectable fillers course focused on live demonstration of injectable fillers and neuromodulators for facial rejuvenation.
This course is open to physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals with an interest in facial rejuvenation.

The conference brings together exceptional faculty focused on best practices, recent developments, and advances in both surgical and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation. The multifaceted program reflects the continuing evolution of aesthetic facial surgery and the collaborative spirit of the UC Irvine educational mission.
