Nathaniel Baek, BA
Nathaniel W. Baek is a 3rd-year medical student at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine who is currently completing a research fellowship under Dr. Brian Wong at the University of California Irvine. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2022 with a BA in Medicine, Health, and Society (MHS) and will be applying for residency in otolaryngology, which has been his goal from a young age. His other passions include soccer, basketball, world history, and church.

Kyle Sugita, BA
Kyle Sugita graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Biological Sciences, concentrating in Neurobiology & Behavior. He is currently working with Dr. Brian Wong at the Beckman Laser Institute in collaboration with Dr. Michael Hill of Occidental College. Outside the lab, he works as an EMT at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and enjoys cooking, lifting, and street photography.

Priscilla Baek, BA
Priscilla Baek is a recent graduate from Vanderbilt University majoring in Medicine, Health, and Society and minoring in Chemistry. Born and raised in OC, she currently works as a medical assistant at a surgical oncology office and enjoys knitting warm items for patients. In her free time, she loves teaching her dog new tricks and cooking for her family.

Zoe Hsiao, BA
Zoe Hsiao is a fourth-year medical student at the University of California, Irvine currently applying for residency in otolaryngology. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and a minor in Asian American studies. Her hobbies include running, reading, and cooking.

Jingdian Huang, BA
Jamie Huang is a third-year medical student at the University of Colorado pursuing a career in otolaryngology. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. His hobbies include playing basketball, skiing, traveling to new places!

Daniel Kim
Daniel Kim is an MEng student at UC Berkeley, where he is studying materials science. He previously worked in Dr. Wong’s lab at UC Irvine and Dr. Hill’s lab at Occidental College on corneal reshaping. In his free time, he enjoys reading theology, e-biking (but not regular biking), and drinking copious amounts of Diet Coke.

Wonhee Lee, BA
Wonhee Lee is a third-year medical student at Loyola University Chicago. She previously completed her undergraduate studies in Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley and worked as an actuary before starting medical school. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, caring for her dog Bora, exploring good food, and spending time with family and friends.

Lauren Liu is a third-year medical student at the University of California, Irvine with an interest in otolaryngology. She is currently working with Dr. Brian Wong. She graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Religion and Chemistry. Her hobbies include reading, playing board games, and finding new places to explore!

Hari Patel, BEng
Hari Patel is a second-year medical student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine pursuing a dual MD/MPH degree, interested in otolaryngology and health equity. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Business. In his free time, Hari enjoys basketball, outdoor activities, and exploring Chicago.

Nithin Poreddy, BA
Nithin Poreddy is a first-year medical student at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry with an interest in otolaryngology. He graduated recently from Carleton College with a degree in Biology. In his free time he likes to work out, try new foods, play basketball, and visit local museums.

Rachel Reeves, BS
Rachel Reeves is a second-year medical student at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and is interested in otolaryngology. She graduated from Cornell University with a major in Human Biology, Health, and Society and a minor in Inequality Studies with a focus on health equity. Her interest in otolaryngology was further ignited when she worked in Dr. Brian Wong’s lab this past summer. Rachel enjoys spending her free time skiing, hiking, and surfing.

William Shin, BA
William Shin is a medical student from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine who is on a research gap year fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Department of Otolaryngology through the V-TOPS program. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology. His hobbies include laser engraving, 3D printing, cooking, and finding places to play pickleball.

Bret Sugita is a recent graduate of the University of California, Irvine where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He is currently in a gap year before applying to medical school. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, and playing volleyball.

Micah Tratt, BA
Micah Tratt is a first-year medical student at UC Irvine. He earned his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Pitzer College. After graduation, he performed research on head and neck cancers at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, WA. Outside of medicine, Micah is a ski patroller and enjoys surfing and spending time in nature.
